Help and support

Memory Games is a collection of six gentle word games with large text and no time pressure.

If something is not working, or you would like to suggest a topic, please get in touch at kbrandon@kabware.co.uk. We read every message and will usually reply within a few days.

How do I make the text bigger?

Memory Games already uses large text throughout. If you would like everything on your phone to be larger, your device can do this for every app at once:

  • iPhone or iPad: Settings → Display & Brightness → Text Size
  • Android: Settings → Display → Font size

How do I turn the music or sounds off?

Tap Settings on the home screen. Music and sound effects have separate switches, so you can turn one off and keep the other.

Why are some levels locked?

Each topic has five levels, from three-letter words up to seven. Finishing a level unlocks the next one, so the words get longer only as fast as you would like them to. Start with Easy.

What do the tick and the star mean?

A green tick means you have finished that level. A gold star means you finished it perfectly — no mistakes and no hints. The same marks appear next to a topic once every level in it is done.

Do I need an internet connection?

Only the first time you open the app, so it can download its word lists. After that it works without one.

I stopped in the middle of a game. Have I lost my progress?

No. Memory Games saves your place as you go, so you can close the app part-way through a level and carry on later from where you left off.

Does the app collect any information about me?

No. There is no account, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind. Your scores and progress are saved on your own device and never sent anywhere. See our privacy policy for the detail.

How do I delete everything and start again?

Deleting the app removes all your scores and progress permanently. Reinstalling gives you a fresh start.

Can you add a topic?

Very possibly — tell us what you would like. New topics can be added without you needing to update the app.

Reporting a problem

If something has gone wrong, the following helps us find it quickly:

  • Which game and topic you were playing
  • What you expected to happen, and what happened instead
  • Your device (for example "iPhone 13" or "Samsung Galaxy A54")
